SARM - March 9 -12, 2009 in Saskatoon

APAS sent one RM Rep and guest to see the Eagles LIVE

APAS would like to thank the nearly two hundred guests from over 50 RMs that attended our Fly to The Eagles Reception on Monday night at the Hilton Garden Inn to help kick off the 2009 SARM Annual Convention.

There was definitely a buzz in the air as we unveiled our grand prize of  TWO FRONT ROW SEATS (Row 1, Seats 2 & 3)  to Tuesday's Eagles Concert in Saskatoon that were awarded to one lucky attendee.

The winner from Monday night's reception was announced at APAS' Booth at 9 am on Tuesday morning!!!

The first day of the SARM 2009 Annual Convention was a busy one for APAS.  President Greg Marshall attended the business sessions as an observer and was formally introduced to the assembly.  Vice President Jeff Simpson, Director David Spencer, and General Manager Nial Kuyek worked the APAS booth at the SARM Trade Show.  Traffic at the APAS booth was brisk providing the APAS representatives with the opportunity for discussion with RM Reeves and Councilors from across the province.  Key issues discussed included the need for assistance to the livestock industry, recent changes to Crop Insurance, the inadequacy of safety nets, and the role of APAS.  APAS representatives were encouraged by expressions of interest in APAS membership from several municipalities.
