Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Review

October 2008

In June 2008, APAS provided a submission the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Review being conducted by MNP.

In February 2009, Minister Bjornerud announced implementation of 12 of the 16 MNP recommendations.

APAS is largely supportive of these changes and publically commended the government's actions.

APAS will continue to seek changes and enhancements to provincial and federal safety net programs with an overall objective to ensure that producers are covered for the full cost of production.
