- Doug has spent the past 15 years in research and market research across the academic, public, private, and self-employment sectors.
- Started as a lab instructor with the University of Regina, then a research and survey consultant at Sask Ag & Food, moved to Research Director in a private market research company in Regina, and finally owner and principal of a home-based research consulting firm prior to joining APAS.
Agriculture
- Has continuously operated a family grains and oilseeds farm since 1974, including more than 15 years of pedigree seed production.
- Family was a recipient in 2004 of the provincial Century Family Farm Award.
Community
- Ten years as a SWP delegate after a similar time as a SWP committee member and chairman.
- Past member of the Cupar Board of Education after ten years as a member of the Southey Local School Board.
- Past member of the Board of Directors of the Regina Community Clinic.
