Nial Kuyek - General Manager

The Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan (APAS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nial Kuyek as General Manager effective June 4, 2008.

Mr. Kuyek comes to APAS directly from the Saskatchewan Bison Association where he served as Executive Director.

Mr. Kuyek has worked for 35 years at senior levels in the private and public sectors with extensive experience and knowledge in agricultural, co-operative, and rural environments and issues. He has worked for both provincial and federal governments.

At the provincial level, he served as Senior Director of Customer Services and Operations at STC, Director of the Extension Service Branch of Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food, and as Chief of Staff to Ministers. Mr. Kuyek worked with Saskatchewan Wheat Pool for 18 years in Member Relations and the Executive offices. During his career with the Pool, he spent two years in Ottawa on secondment to the Policy Branch of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.

In addition, he spent two years in Ottawa as Chief Operating Officer of the Canadian Co-operative Association and has operated his own consulting business.
